* Do you have a renters Bullentin Board?Yes, we have a Bullentin Board form that an interested traveler can post their requirements for their visit to Costa Rica.
Particular price, dates interested, special interests, number of guests etc. and it is posted in the memebers area with posting date for 30 days.
Potential renters will post an add for free and have asked to be contacted by owners directly either by phone and or email.

As a member you should check the Bulletin Board for hot leads at least once a week.
* Does CostaRicaTravelDirectory.Net have an on going email campaign?
Yes, we send emails to our 1000's of previous visitors that have requested more information. WE DO NOT SPAM OUR GUESTS!
Our emails are sent out only to guests who have requested information about promotions, special offers or general information about our web site.
Once a month CostaRicaTravelDirectory.Net will send our previous guests an interesting article or factoid
about Costa Rica with a few advertisements including but not limited to featured properties, recommended hotels
and resorts, how to buy gifts and merchandise from Costa Rica. The email recepient can unsubscibe from our mailing list at any time.
There is no extra charge for this service for CostaRicaTravelDirectory.Nets members.
* Does CostaRicaTravelDirectory.net have a Listing Guarantee?
Absolutely! We guarantee that during your first year of membership, you will receive paid rental bookings from your CostaRicaTravelDirectory.net listing worth at least 10 times the annual cost of membership for new memberships starting on or after December 31, 2002.
If you do not receive 10 times your membership fee in bookings during the first year of membership, notify the web team at 10times@costaricatraveldirectory.net and your membership will be extended for 6 free months AT NO COST TO YOU. Each membership can apply this guarantee only one time.
CostaRicaTravelDirectories.net guarantee does not apply to properties not available for at least 6 months of the year, timeshare units or for listings which do not display 2 or more photos during at least 9 of the 12 months that the ad is active.
* Can we make changes to basic page set-up?
No, our 'templates' are set up the way they are intentionally. We hope to present each property's information in a consistent way for the ease of the vacationer. Description info, rates, headings and photos appear in the same place for everyone, so users can access the info quickly and conveniently.
* What's the best way to make changes to a listing?
You can make changes at any time 24/7. Simply login to the Owner/Manager area and click 'edit listing.
* Some pictures on the web look excellent, while some are not so hot, what's up?
There are two main possibilities. Most probable is that the picture was poor to start with (pictures taken on cloudy days, or with bad exposure levels, etc.) Polaroids, xerox copies, houses obscured by trees, shots taken at bad angles, all can look pretty bad on the web. People submit photos from their brochures which, due to the 4-color printing process, result in cross-hatching or moire patterns. In these cases we ask that you take the time to procure a better photograph and resubmit it. Best results come from 3 1/2" x 5" or 4" x 6" 35mm photographs. Sunny days with plenty of blue sky in the background never hurts. We urge owners to constantly rephotograph their rental homes in the hope that they'll get that one killer shot.On the other hand, the problem could be with us. We have gone through a variety of scanners over the years, with different settings and .jpeg compression schemes. We didn't always get it right, we know that there still exist on our site scans that when opened have a 1/4 inch red/yellow swath through them that shows up in AOL and some versions of Internet Explorer. (Please notify us at once if you see such an aberration.)If you suspect the fault lies on our side please let us know, we'll attempt to rescan and improve your shot. After all, CostaRicaTravelDirectory.net is merely a reflection of its myriad of homes!
* How quickly can you get a page up and running on the web?
Your listing goes live once you have paid and entered the minimum required fields (noted by required). It usually takes 1-2 business days for a new listing to appear on the site.
* Why am I not getting calls?
There are several possibilities, some correctable, some not. One main reason is that you didn't supply a picture. We believe homes without photos will receive 1/3rd to 1/10th the calls of the exact same rental which includes a photograph. Similarly a bad picture can have the same effect. A really bad picture could even be worse than none at all. A too basic or terse of a description can also hurt your prospects. Timeshares often do not do well because there's just plain less time for folks to opt to rent. It also might not be the time that folks are looking. The month of May would be quieter than December for those looking for ski chalets, for instance. There is also the possibility that we are just not doing a good job of marketing your area. This is why we always encourage homeowners to give us feedback on their results, it's the only way we have of finding out when marketing efforts should be directed to one spot or another.
* Why am I getting plenty of calls but no bookings?
Don't rule out that your rental rate is just too high. Compare with other owners in your area and bedroom size, just as the vacationers do. Put yourself in their shoes and see if you'd rent your spot. Our belief is that if you take any given ten rentals in an area, 3 spots will get 50% of the calls, 6 will split the remaining 50% and someone will get very few. The main determinant? Price.
